Finally...my bumbo~

Last weekend ayah bought me a bumbo seat. At long last. Since I stay awake most of the time and I don't like to lay down. It's boring just to play with my playgym all the time so I'll scream and sometimes shout if no one picks me up. I like to stay upright most of the time as I can see what goes around me. So these are pictures of me showing off my bumbo. hehe

Tada~..I can now sit up..yea..totally love it!

Hey ayah, stop it..I'm trying to relax here..I'm watching the telly..move out of the way!

Ahh..There's my feet..love playing with them..wiggle..I've just discovered that it is part of my body..

Sejak ade bumbo ni senang ummi dan ayah nak solat berjemaah. Fea senyap jer but once ummi dan ayah selesai solat terus aja mulut tue berbunyi..hehe..pandai anak ummi ni..bijak

Me in cloth diapers

This is me in wearing a napkin. Tok ma made it for me when i was a new born I wore this as diapers are to big for me. (will upload the pics later)

After the napkin stage I move on to wearing prefolds and diaper covers. (will upload the pics later)

This is me now wearing my cloth diaper with inserts. I need to wear 2 layers of inserts as I pee a lot. Still am wearing prefolds and diaper covers from time to time.


This is me wearing disposable diapers. huhue. Ummi you'll have to buy me some more cloth diapers. I love them as it is softer against my skin. (will upload the pics later)

On my belly

At the age of 3 months and 1 week I can now lay on my belly and my bones are strong enough to support my head.Want to see? Look at me showing off.

"I so wanted to crawl to ayah but I have not learn the skills yet. You wait ayah one day I can even run to you"

"Hehe..this is me...Ummi Look at me..I can turn on my own and you don't need to support my head anymore. Ayah! when will you buy me a bumbo seater?"

My new zapp~

Have just received my brand new zapp last 2 weekends. Ayah bought it from Germany. Yeah all the way over there? you might ask yourself. Well it's cheaper than buying it here. It's in strawberry red. Totally love it. Thank you soo much to papa(my uncle by the way). Since ayah had no credit cards so we had to borrow papa's.

Since, I can't sit in the zapp yet so Ayah attached the maxi Cosi carrier on top. Ummi's the most happiest person when we received the zapp.Now I can ride the zapp happily at malls without ayah "bising" because of back ache carrying me around. can't blame him as I am getting heavier by the day though.

What I can do now~

Now at the age of 3 months and five days I can;

1) roll over, mostly on my left side(my legs are getting stronger by the day). I can never be left alone on high surfaces as who knows where I'll end up next. Once I nearly fell off my parents bed whilst they were praying. If they had to leave me unattended for a while they need to put pillows around me to act as a bumper so I can't go more further.

2) see more clearly and i pay more attention to my surrounding. Even when I latch on to Ummi if I hear something that distracts me from drinking I will pull ummi with me and she of course would say 'ouch' or 'adoi' every time.hehe

3) play with my toys at my play gym. I also can grab the hanging toys.

4) play with my centipede when my parents put me in my crib or on my parents bed.(ummi need to buy some more toys to stimulate my brains)

5) react or rather sing along(in my own language) to the music that plays when my mobile rotates. Even when somebody talks to me I'll react the same and tries to project my voice as loud as I can. Every time I do this I'll end up chocking myself as I do not know how to control my voice yet. Also I giggle from time to time

Just woke up from my slumber. Owh, my leg is on the bolster pillow and I don't know where my blankie is. I am certain that Ummi pulled the blankie over me last night.(lasak sungguh anak ummi ni tido)

6) recognize faces. The most familiar would be Ummi because she gives me milk. Every time ummi comes home from work I'll stare at her until she picks me up.

7) If I wore a two piece clothing meaning a pair of pants and a shirt in the morning I'd be lucky if I'm still wearing the shirt. Usually, half way up my shirt unbuttoned. I really don't know how that happened or how I did it. This is why ummi likes me to wear one piece like sleepers so that I won't end up half naked the next day. haha

My new clothes~

Auntie Jan bought me a few clothes from UK. She bought it cheap(not so cheap after converting Pound Sterling to Ringgit Malaysia) since it was Christmas and New Year's sale. I've just received it last week..~ let's have a look shall we..This is my pink skirt and my pink t-shirt. The skirt is way too big for me but the waist can be adjusted to small and that's how I can fit into the skirt without it slipping down. Ummi asked auntie Jan to buy me a bigger size on purpose so I don't outgrow it too quickly. Tapi sayangnye Auntie Jan ter beli t-shirt yang muat-muat saja untuk sofeah~

I have another pair but Ummi didn't take a picture of it because it's too big for me. The skirt slides off my legs..hehe..but will upload it later.

Can't wait for Auntie Jan to send back some more clothes. Ummi's having fun dressing me up. Ayah says I'm like a moving doll..hehe~

I want Ummi n nenen

Around 6pm everyday I'll start rejecting my bottle because I know Ummi and ayah will be back by then. I'll totally reject the bottle even though nanny shoves the teat into my mouth. I'll cry instead. All I want is my ummi. I really miss Ummi and I want to be with her all the time if I can. I know every morning when I wake up, ummi is no where to be seen.The only person I'm left with is Nanny. Nanny takes good care of me. She feeds me, gives me my bath on time and changes my nappy when needed to. She is really patient on the days I refuse my milk and cries a lot because I miss Ummi and nenen. Nanny would always comfort me by hugging me to sleep. I'll always sleep on nanny's chest whilst she pats me on the back and later on she'll put me down on my belly in my cot. I'll sleep soundly an hour or two until I wake up again and realize that ummi is still not home by then and started to cry again. Even though I drank my milk but it's only for a little amount just to fill my tummy and not sufficient enough to make me full. The only time I'm full is when I drink from nenen.

Ummi is thinking of doing reverse cycling, So that I'll drink more at night and less during the day. Ummi wants' to make sure that I drink enough milk and gain more weight. You see my weight is just above the borderline. Lower than that is considered underweight. I know ummi have been working hard to eat as much as possible with nutritious food but I still did not gain that extra weight needed. I think it's in the genes. Both of my parents are not that heavy either. About this reverse cycling thing, it is really tiring if ummi decides to do so. I know ummi will be tired more than ever because she needs to wake up in the middle of the night to feed me twice or more. Since she has to work during the day this might not be a good idea.

On Saturdays, Ummi goes to work so ayah takes care of me but only in the morning by lunch time Ummi will be back. During the mornings I'll try to sleep as long as I can until Ayah wakes me up for my bath. I'll only drink one bottle around 4 oz and then I'd stay awake. I love being alone with ayah. He likes to play with me, tell me stories he would do anything to keep me occupied. Even so I still can't wait for ummi to come home because of nenen.

Anyhow with ummi's worries about me not getting enough milk she will try her best to find alternatives like finding the suitable teats or change bottles until I really can drink from a bottle during the day without rejecting it. I'll also have to accept the fact that ummi will not be home until 6pm everyday. A long Sigh~

Now Sofeah can really accept the fact that during the day she has to drink up from the bottle. She drinks a lot these days and I'm really happy. Sofeah's currently using MAMs bottles. She loves the teats. We've tried several brands which includes nuk, dr.baby and also nuby. Sofeah's first bottle was nuby it was ok then after washing it several times it drips a lot(it's an irony really since the packaging stated non drip bottle..huhue) . And now Sofeah has gained weight too..Alhamdulillah~
